I own a pair of the K10's and only had the opportunity to try out the K8's prior to purchase. I ultimately was deciding between those two and went with the K10's. A big factor for this decision was that I wanted a pair of powered speakers that could double as a small PA if I needed one and I felt the K'8's were too small for that application (for my taste). After owning these since December I can tell you this, I have only really brought both of them out to gigs about 50% of the time. Mainly space is an issue on stage. However for me to really benefit from these speakers I need to bring a mixer and tweak the settings to get a good stereo sound. Then I run a line to the house and I am sitting pretty, this does take more time and because of that I dont always bring the mixer or the other speaker, just the keyboards running direct into the line input on the back of the K10. Dont get me wrong, these speakers are phenomenal in my opinion and sound head and
shoulders above the old Barbetta Sona 32C I had before. Again though, the best application is with both of them and a mixer...it sounds fantastic. For most small bars/clubs one if fine power wise although the stereo mix is great. Regarding the frequency range I play a variety of sounds and have not noticed anything to indicate the K10's more or less sufficient to recreate the freq range but then again I never A/B'ed them to fully compare. Good luck
Austin
