Subject:OT; adding a DI box to an amp.

Has anybody added a DI box into their favorite stage amp, or can direct me to a site that would help? I made up a tone cab using a 22h Leslie amp and would like to send the signal to foh instead of micing if possible. Thinking along the lines of tapping into the black/red 22h output before the crossover with a 1/4" TS jumper into a small DI box mounted into the back of the cabinet. TIA for the help, warnings etc...
