Subject:Roland VR-700 replacing VK-8?

I noticed that the selling price of the VR-700 is exactly the same as the price of the VK-8. As far as I can see, the VR-700 duplicates all the functionality of the VK-8 (except, for some reason, the "tone" knob), and adds a bunch of other features (more sounds with layers and splits, 76 keys, USB based file playback, pitch bend/modulation control), and doesn't weigh much more either... I don't see what purpose the VK-8 serves in their line, unless they lower the price. Maybe they think some people will still choose the VK-8 just because of aesthetics, it having more of an organ look? Or maybe the're just selling out existing stock? Anyone have any other insights here?
