Can you possibly translate the following phrases into real English, please?
Some of us live on the other side of the Pond... ;-)
"...will always be ragged on by the peanut gallery." A reference to a kids'
TV show, I think (which one?). I lived in America for 5 years when I was
little, but this one was evidently before my time... No idea what it means.
"...a lot of "Monday morning quarterbacking" going on afterward." Oh dear.
An American Football reference. Since I am the least sport-savvy being on
the planet, it wouldn't really be any clearer to me if it was a soccer,
cricket, polo or ghetto stickball reference. I don't know what it means.
Please explain!
