Hi Thomas,
2101mk2 simulates Leslie 21H and Leslie 122. I only played 2101 before and they are different. 2101mk2 produce bigger bass sound, and the overdrive effect is great. I also changed a tube and had to adjust bias, and it sounds better to my ears. I guess it depends on situations (How big is the room? Do you play your left hand bass and pedals? etc.) If you are thinking about getting 2101mk2 and you have 2101, I recommend you to get a good amp and Ventilator instead. 2101mk2 is still heavy to me, and when I use Ventilator and a light amp (Barbetta, Acoustic Image, etc), it easier for me to transport.
Hal

Hi Hal,
I had already heard your great recordings, and this is what made me ask my question. Difficult to fully judge off YouTube but certainly the XK3C and 2101 MK II sound superb when you are playing.
Regards, Thomas
