Subject:Speakeasy Vintage does it again 8^)

In a word...WOW 8^)

I hooked up the Speakeasy RocBox I bought from Tony Orant and I have to say the sound just blows me away. There is no comparison between this and the MS pro-145 it is replacing. I obviously have to spend some time with it tweaking knobs to really get a feel for what it can do, but the tone is incredible (as I would expect from Speakeasy) and the volume is INSANE!

This speaker, for those that have not heard Tony post about it, is a 2 piece design. Top rotor in one box and bottom rotor and amps in the bottom box. It has the AMA built into it along with a 250Watt power amp. Did I mention the volume is insane? Nice thing is being able to have a sweet crunchy Allman Brothers tone while still at a low volume.

It is built like a tank. Heavy & solid with a nearly indestructible truck bed liner covering. You could not ask for a better built piece of gear. Without a doubt it will outlast me by far. I am really looking forward to my next gig. There are lots of different outputs on this thing that I am clueless about, but I don't think I will ever need them to be honest. Sub outs and all sorts of others too.

Another really cool thing is that Steve tells me this was the first of this model speaker. I already owned the very first Speakeasy preamp, and now I have a 2nd Speakeasy #1 8^)

Time for me to go play now. Thanks again Tony and thank you Speakeasy.
