Well, I guess they did not read the specifications page on neo instruments web site. It says it uses a DSP (digital signal processor), specifically the "32 Bit SHARC DSP." With a fast enough DSP and enough memory, you can do just about anything. It takes quite a bit of engineering time to develop the algorithms, but once you get it, you GOT it, and it looks like that is what they have done. I would bet there is quite a bit of R&D in on the Ventilator.
