I'll just add this.....I've had Leslie pedals that are light years better than any sim on any Hammond clone.
That's my opinion and I think most of the folks who have played a Hammond clone would agree.
I had and XK3 and messed with the sim until I was blue in the face and never got a sound that was much better than the factory setting.
I played an XK3C and opted for the C2 simply based on the sim. Everyone said the sim was better but not much to my ears.
.
I find it odd that of all the guys who have tried the Vent with a HS clone none of them said it was not better than the HS sim.
Sorry but that's just strange to me.

I can't say if it's worth $500. more than the C2 sim but I will say it is not worth $500. more than the XK3c sim.
Before everybody gets ticked off let me say this--Even though that is my opinoin I will keep mine because it IS better- (just not 5 bills better) It makes the 3c sound more like my C3 than the 3c does on it's own as far as tone and especialy the overdrive. The speed/miking/ramp up and down etc. is no better and has far less options than the 3c but the options the Vent does have are enough.
So my final on the subject is, if I had other things I needed to get with $500. I would not do it over-but as I had the money set aside just for the Vent-it is well worth keeping and using.
