Subject:electro 2 percussion

i mentioned something about this on the electro forum, but i figured i'd ask here... Anyone using the E2 have the same gripe that the normal percussion volume is just too loud? as far as i know there's no way to adjust the volume (besides going to soft, of course). I noticed that when i started using the speakeasy tube preamp, the actual tone of the percussion was so much more usable and "woody", which kind of made the loudness of it more bearable.

anyone else notice this as well? how do you deal with it?
