Subject:Re: Kindly Seeking Advice/Opinions about a good, basic, full-weighted digital piano

I have a Kawai MP-5- Love it!! Great piano sounds, excellent controller capabilities, good action, and a host of other sounds- 1200 or so. These don't get the recognition that Yamaha and Korg do, but I'd pit mine up against Korg or Yamaha boards that cost $1500 more.

If you are primarily looking for Piano the best buy is a Casio PX 130 ($500) or the PX330 (with more capability and a lot of sounds- $800). Excellent action, the pianos are very good- you can feel the connection, decent EP's. Very light weight- less than 25 LBS. I know they can control external modules to an extent, but they are probably more cumbersome to program- CHeck them out at you rlocal guitar center
