Rob,
You don't say how much you want to spend, but I can highly recommend the Yamaha S90ES from a sound standpoint. The only drawback is its size and weight. In a cheap flimsy case, it is 73 lbs to haul around. I did that for 3 years at my weekly church gig, and it was starting to get old. I finally got the church to buy one of their own! I can provide lots of mps with that keyboard in it if you want to check out the piano sound and other patches. Let me know.
If you want to save some money, a used S90 might also be good. They are a little shorter in length and I think a little lighter.
Lou

Subject: [CWSG] Kindly Seeking Advice/Opinions about a good, basic, full-weighted digital piano
Hi guys, I joined this group several years ago to try to get some decent advice on Hammond/Leslie clones, etc. I am mainly a guitar player so i dont stick my nose in much because all of you guys are way more keyboard savvy than me, however, I would appreciate some input about what might be a decent, no-frills, stage digital piano that has realistic weighted action and strong acoustic piano sounds--all my other sounds come out of various modules, etc. Specifically, does anybody have any pros or cons regarding Yamaha and Kawai, they both seem to be well-regarded as far as the feel of their keyboards (responsiveness, etc). I grew up banging on an old baby grand piano so i know what pianos feel like and sound like. My old Ensoniq piano appears to be dying, and it was really very realistic feeling and sounding, I am trying to see whats out there now.I am mainly interested in good realistic piano action and really good acoustic piano sounds, the other stuff is
not a big factor.
If this topic is inappropriate for this group, I apologize in advance, I am not trying to get off-topic or waste your time, but you guys are all extremely knowledgeable, and I would appreciate any expeienced-based opinions from you. I'm just a dumb guitar player, have mercy on me!!! Thanks for your time, Rob J. Nashville TN
