Subject:Help with testing new features in VB3 1.3
Hello everybody,
I think this is the right place to find what I'm looking for.
I'm about to release VB3 1.3 with 3 important new features, so I need:
1) Someone who owns a Nord C1, a Hammond XK*, a B4d or a Doepfer D3m, one of these organs/controllers to test the new "Advanced MIDI Learn" feature;
2) Someone who uses Digital Performer on Mac.
One of the most requested features is the support for the sustain pedal, it has now been added to this new version. Also, many people complained about its incompatibility with Motu DP, I think I've fixed the bug that used to crash DP Auval, but I'm not sure because I don't have a copy of DP on my Macs.
Concerning point 1, I have implemented a new system of MIDI control that allow to assign the following parameters to each single control:
- Midi Channel
- Midi CC Number
- Min. value
- Max. value
- Polarity
This way, all hardware controllers that are not programmable and were conceived to control the B4 should now be compatible with VB3 without the need of an external MIDI translator/converter. And organs with particular controller sets can be used as well, such as the Hammond XK* that use a single CC number with limited ranges for each drawbar row, and the C1 that uses different channels but same CC numbers for upper, lower and pedal drawbars.
Whoever feels like giving his precious help, please contact me privately.
Whoever feels offended by this post, please accept my apologies.
Thank you in advance,
Guido from GSi.
