Subject:Re: V-Machine and NI B4/B4II

Hi James,

V-Machine uses 'loader files' that take care of those issues. The software is first installed on a PC or Mac, and then a program called VFX -- which is also used to configure the settings of a patch and audition sounds -- downloads and installs the program in the V-Machine, handling all the licensing issues.

SMPro provides loads for many programs, as well as a tutorial on making a loader. And yes, there is already one for B4/B4II.

The only real restriction is that one cannot use many of the demo versions. In most cases, it's because of the 'nag' screen that comes up, asking you to buy/register the product. Since V-Machine has no screen -- at least, in the normal computer sense -- there's no way to click on "OK" or "No Thanks" or whatever. You can still run demos in VFX; just not in the V-Machine.

Regards,

-BW
