Subject:OT: Vintage stuff: organs, parfums , amps etc.
Hi All,
Did anybody think that we have an horizon for our sons/daughters and when apply , grandsons either, that in turn won't have anything 'vintage' to have as personal belongins ?
Is that is the picture of the closer future ?
Will they have any new model of Fender or Gibson offered as re-issue ?
btw, which model of Hammond (or motorbike) will replace to a venerable B3- 1959 , probably a SKU easy to find in Google years ahead.
Don't see in my mind a CD replacing it , worst yet a file inside the 'cloud' as cloud computing is gaining computer, not more 'client side processing'.
Hosted VST at wholesale prices, but what about 'real stuff'
I wondered that cause my fav parfum 'Acqua di Selva' by Victor can't be got any longer and as it's listed within a Chinese cosmetics directory by that name, guess it won't have the 'original fragance' as even the new online marketing offers these days.
What about vintage amps ?
As there are zillion of copies of AC-30, Tweeds, 5EM, Blackface, Silverface , Plexis, JCMXXX and the likes models , probabilities about getting older stuff should be null except for those companies making re-re-issues of their eldest models.
Will we see more Kalamazoo amps some day ?
Like Pari organ in Italy did an actual electromechanical instrument, will be that an asset for people or just won't consider it cause being a hefty item ?
When ventilators should go for 'ultra-plus-models' what will be the 'perfect sim' file or 'surface control' (not pedals any longer) to avoid heavy rigs and offering Dolby 8.2 ?
Just questions from the air.
Hope the humanity won't be stopped wathing the mid 60s as the only older thing, isn't it ?
Best,
Rafael
