Subject:Re: microKontroller (37 keys)
I have one of these that I used for making patch changes during a gig. You can make the keys send MIDI control change messages to the computer software. Kind of like the black preset keys on the left hand side of a Hammond B3.
For playing on it, it is velocity sensitive, but the key travel is only about 1/8 inch, so it doesn't feel like a keyboard, more like tapping finger on a table top. Also the keys are about half the size of normal keys, much closer together, so my hand feels cramped and unnatural if I try to play actual keyboard parts on it. YMMV.
cheers,
Darren
