Subject:Re: McCartney's keyboard player's B3 sounds - product label blackout
I saw the show and I thought overall it was pretty good. One of the better perks of being President, fer sure.
I know this topic has been addressed in the past, but I'm not sure I've ever quite understood it. One could not help notice that Stevie Wonder's boards had black gaffer's tape covering the names, which I thought was real odd on the clavinet. That can't be an endorsement issue since it's a 40 year old vintage board, right? OTOH, Wix's boards had the names displayed prominently, and he's certainly a major player in the spotlight. Anybody have any thoughts on this? Does anybody in this group currently black out the rear panels on their live rigs, and if so, why?
