I am aware of a very significant crash problem with an original Diversi
purchased two years ago when the units first came out.

One of the single manual units was purchased by a Bay Area keyboardist who
I spoke to at NAMM this past weekend .

Apparently his unit did crash and at this point the problem has not been
remedied. So now he is stuck with a disfunctional unit.

There was a switch last year in the Diversis....something to do with a
change to DSP. Tom Tuson mentioned it to me, but this seems to be connected to
the problems that my friend is having.

I really like the Diversi/ Key B sound and also met and liked Tom, Sonja
and Rodney at Diversi. But to hear about unresolved problems makes me
question dealing with such a small company. After all, who is going to service it
when there are problems?

Anyway I heard Joey and the Key B at NAMM....it sounds great. I actually
PREFERRED the leslie sim on the Key B to the rotating device on display at
the Motion Sound booth. The sim just sounds incredible.

The stationary unit that Joey seemed to prefer to play through had tons of
bass. Motion Sound makes this too, but it has a ton of headroom.

Anyway I hope all of this gets resolved. Motion Sound is slated to
manufacture the new Key B, but don't expect to see it at a low price. And.... make
sure your warrantee in well covered.
