Hi Daniel,

I think what you are seeing is the effect of minimal (leftover) supply artificially boosting the price of the BX3. The 168K Yen is comparable to US street prices; 450K Yen is more than US list/retail price. I know at least three BX3 owners who paid $3300USD (300K Yen) or less for a brand-new BX3 -- including myself.

Comparing prices after a product is discontinued is difficult. In this particular case, there were thousands of CX3s built, and the used market is still filled with them. There were probably only a few hundred BX3s built, and maybe most of them did not go to the Japanese home market. This would mean that anyone who now wants a BX3 must be prepared to pay too much.

Regards,

-BW
