How does the new Roland V-Combo stack up to our VR-760, also known as the V-Combo?

Subject: [CWSG] Final NAMM Report
So here is my final NAMM report...
Highlights:
The Yamaha CP-1, CP-5, and CP-50 Digital Pianos: The best performance
pianos I have ever heard. Should win Product of the Year. No one comes
close.
The new Digital Mellotron: Marcus' invention will be a winner... If he
can indeed bring it to market around $1800.
The Diversi Key-B Organ and Motion Sound Powered Stereo Speaker: OK, I
heard Joey D play at Steamers on Saturday night playing the organ and
accompanying Motion Sound Stereo Speaker, and it sounded fantastic.
Now I am a true believer that Joey could make anything sound good, so
I was fortunate to finally have the opportunity to play the Key-B
organ at the Motion Sound booth. I can easily say that this is the
finest sounding (and feeling) clone I have ever played. The Leslie sim
is unmatched by anything I have ever heard (Ventilator included). But
what really makes this instrument shine is the feeling one gets when
sitting behind it... It is truly a Hammond Clone for this generation.
It not only replicated the superb control layout of the B3, it
improves on it. When we will be able to buy it? The folks at Motion
Sound told me 2-4 months. We have heard this before, but with Motion
Sound distributing I have renewed faith.
Ventura TX-5 - As I mentioned in an earlier post, I was very impressed
with the sound of this organ. It should easily compete with the other
leading clones (XK3c, Nord, etc.) The Diversi is in another class
altogether....
Roland V-Combo: A nice compromise instrument for the gigging musician
who must carry an arsenal of sounds and still have a decent clone
organ. They will sell a lot of these, I am sure.
The Basement: My favorite floor at NAMM. Here you will find small
companies who are making very specialized and interesting instruments.
And it is much quieter down there...
The Young Dubliners: The band that appeared before Al Kooper was to
play on Saturday night. These guys were great! Never head electric Bag-
Pipes before.
The Mellodrama Screening: Met in person many of the people that I knew
from these lists. Plus had a great time giggling...
Joey D. live: What can I say...? When one of the greatest musicians in
history is playing while you are alive, it would be a crime to miss him.
Disappointments:
Nord Piano: Sorry, but this instrument is not in the same league as
the Yamaha CP1, CP-5, OR CP-50. The keyboard is lame (Fatar), the
sounds are thin, and believe it or not, its red!
Korg: Nothing! That's right.. I saw nothing of interest.
The Food: Man, the food at NAMM sucks!
The people there just to see celebrities: So I have a question. Why
would you line up for two hours to get a picture of you with Steve
Morse? What a bunch of Nerd Wankers!
My biggest disappointment was when Al Kooper was rushed to the
hospital before his gig at the Marriott on Saturday night. He has been
in poor health, but I was happy with the opportunity to see/hear him
again. Unfortunately be fell ill. Our prayers are with him.
