Subject:Re: NAMM - anybody going?
Hi All,
Wonder why TOKAI Brazilian brand is not longer mentioned and on the other hand Selenium loudspeakers, are known by their respective name at many stores.
Guess that TX5 clone should be a Tokai, but named as 'Ventura'.
Is any marketing issue or trade law involved ?
Mere curiousity.
Remember some samples of the past , i.e. when foreign, i.e. German/ Italian names should be 're-branded' , unless decades ago.
Here, Ford , GM , IBM, NCR, Cargill, etc. etc. never has changed their names, since early 1900's , wich is best for the sake of consumers and to avoid a mess.
Best,
Rafael
