Ah, that makes sense. I have a 1972 vintage tube Hammond P-100S and the chorus and vibrato (non-scanner) are simply unusable. I also have an (old) XK-3 hot rodded with Mullard tubes and the vibrato sounds unintentional funny, the Chorus C-2 and C-3 are O.K. when played through a real leslie or a Ventilator (yep, I own one).
So that means that the M-100 has a very convincing chorus vibrato. I say that because I don't hear a whinig Farfisa- Vox Continental - style vibrato, nor the typical metallic C-3 of a console Hammond (which I like, but not that much without a leslie). Well perhaps the vintage lo-fi recording of this track (probably late 60s and lots of tubes in the circuits) helps warming up the sound, and even YouTube can't destroy it ;-) Nah, Steve Winwood always had and has a wonderful Hammond sound. Also his B3's always sound fantastic. Not to mention that he is a great vocalist.
Thanks again for the information,
Christian
