I use an H4 during practices when I don't want to power on protools. It does the trick and sounds better than expected with the built in mics, even at volume. Ergonomics/interface are fair but I would rather deal with that shortcoming than data loss. I went w/an H4 instead of H2 because you can overdub on a stored track-- good for "on-location" demo work or tracking against a click or grid/BPM-aligned track.

I made my own mic-stand adapter using an old mic clip, the stock one has unconventionally small threads.
