Yes, I think of it more as a pre-set level like the on the Leslie chassis set it and forget it. I'm pretty sure the front panel volume control affects all outputs.

Please forgive me for being unsure about some if this as I only used the VK-7 with the 130 and a straight amp for a few times a couple years ago.

Thanks for your input re the horn. Since I have the 130 in the living room with my M3 (only by the grace of my lovely wife), I must keep everything inside i.e. no visible add on's. I don't want to upset the decor any more than I have already.

I see your point about the need for separation. So if I can snag a horn and associated parts for a song, I'll experiment with down sizing the LF driver space a and see if I can come up with some creative port/tuning if need be.

BTW, before I could even bring the 130 in the house my wife and I both agreed that gawd awful striped grille cloth just had to go. Could it have been more hideous?
