Subject:Roland VK-7 Opinions Sought - Am I Going to Like It?

Fellow Clonewheelers,

I've got a chance to grab a minty VK-7, very cheaply, which I intend to use for pickup gigs, where hauling my BX-3 isn't so attractive. Any opinions? I don't intend to use the internal Leslie FX; instead it'll run through either a 760 or an Elkatone 700.

How's the C/V? Is foldback correctly implmented? Will it scream at 8888?
Is the 1' drawbar smooth or brittle? Just how deeply can the programs be customized,(e.g. leakage, preamp, etc.?) None of the on-line reviews address these questions, adequately, so I've come to the well of all clonewheel knowledge, once more.
