In fact that's truly cool !
Imagined a the complexities to be faced by anybody being DIYermaniac: looking for analog sliders to get them controlled thru stepper motors as actuators of 9 stops ea. on any drawbar slide, that means lot of lines of C code , for those corageous mention the software from Microchip site
and the 'hardware : PIC16Fl4', IMO the simplest way to get a programmable flash memory for amateurs using MPLAB IDE and freebies.
