A perfect example of "chameleon" drumming is Steve Gadd. Or Steve Ferrone. Best drummer I ever worked with is Jim Keltner. First take every time. Nice cat- easy to work with-on time. Try finding a guy like that. The really good ones are on tour or working in studios.
If more drummers studied guys like that the world wouldn't be full of mental midgets with sticks.
