In fact that's truly cool !

Imagined a the complexities to be faced by anybody being DIYermaniac: looking for analog sliders to get them controlled thru stepper motors as actuators of 9 stops ea. on any drawbar slide, that means lot of lines of C code , for those corageous mention the software from Microchip site
and the 'hardware : PIC16Fl4', IMO the simplest way to get a programmable flash memory for amateurs using MPLAB IDE and freebies:

Not rocket science but hard coding involved.

I'd suggest if anybody should decide to take that challenge , make it as 'a core project' regarding time factor and that isn't piece of cake for sure, except for those winning their daily bread programming.

Yes, the VK-7 drawbars work the same way. The only thing I don't like is that the drawbars don't indicate the actual setting even though the display does.

It's pie in the sky but motorized drawbars would be cool.
