I wonder if the tech you're speaking of is Bob Blake. He indeed was a fine man and great Hammond tech. I bought my 1950 C-2 from him in around 1994 and he gave me some advice when I upgraded to smooth drawbars.I believe George Fish bought his inventory when Bob passed away.
