Subject:Short Sighted was Clavia
My point was from a consumer perspective and we consumers are by nature 'short sighted', much to the benefit of those servicing our demands.
Appreciate your angle on it though.. i'm a software developer, so i totally get intellectual property, but i'm not talking about copying someone's source code here, i'm talking about taking other people's ideas and improving or adapting them. If industry wasn't driven by this natural by product of competition, that being to, copy, adapt, improve (or produce cheaper) we'd still all be driving Model T's.. well you guys in the states would anyway..
Protection of intellectual property is an almost philosophical (as well as legal/moral) issue but keep in mind, without a talent for immitation, we humans would never even learn to talk!
