Are you sure about this? With all the money changing hands on an event like this they'd get The Who gratis? Doesn't make sense. And if it's televised, AFTRA has to kick in.. Maybe they won't get Beatle Paul's $1M a show fee but I would expect Townsend and Daltrey would get paid. Playing their?own songs publishing would charge the event royalties.

although I don't think they actually get paid for this.. just travel, lodging, some per diem and free tickets ... it's really a publicity thing for the band..
