I suupport Dave, the genius that created the greatest clone there is. We should all boycott and not purchase any item with ideas stolen from him

I really don't get the point of this discussion. Why should a simple taiwanese or chinese drawbar potentiometer be 'Intellectual Property'?? Everyone can freely buy such product here for example (look under products):

All the poor Clavia guy did wrong was to ask the wrong guy for a source for a potentiometer, right?
Clavia a 'Goliath'?? This is a small 15 employee enterprise! These guys developped innovative, simplified and inspiring instruments like the Nord Lead or the Electro or Stage while the Japanese musical intruments giants overstocked the market with masses of cheesy sounding synthesizers which they only understood themselves.
As much as I love the Voce V5 and with all respect, Dave also could have put to the market something like the Electro. But he didn't. Is Clavia to blame for this? I don't think so.
With regards to 'Goliath' I would rather refer to the Japanese...

He must feel the ogre coming out from the countryside again and to his credit, I think it's best he air this now rather than wake up one morning with his ideas sitting on the shelf with someone else's badge on it. IP is serious stuff. I know how he feels?as I have been burned in that area and still have not had much recourse. And it was with a major concern. If you are battling a larger monied group of people it can be "Dave and Goliath."... pun intended. Not easy when Goliath can hide and has friends helping him hide.
