I think the same.
Besides, shouldn't be volume pedal connected in the end of the chain,
after all effect processors? In recent connection sound timbre and
way of processing can change with changing signal level on the input
of processors. With volume pedal in the end you will change just the
volume of final processed sound, including possible noise.
Did you try to connect preamp after the vent?
