Subject:Re: NUMA Organ - Design Flaw?/Pitch control

This means these generations of clones have kept the idea alive that the B3
is a synth itself and should be played like one. One hand on the controls,
one hand on the keys. A remnant "tailbone" pitch control is the pitch
effect that was actually done by laying hands on the 2 inch tape slowing the tape
speed down, on one famous recording from what I heard and perhaps not
turning the organ off as has been popularized. I was never able to get that
effect by playing with the start/run switches on my B3 so the myth must be true.
But if you search youtube for new Corbetta videos you'll see he uses the
ribbon controller on his Roland keytar to do the famous pitch bend on GEL. And
for all the hype whether it was Jerry or not who played the solo on GEL's
studio track, he can sure play the thing today and using the keytar to boot.
No wood and wheels for this guy anymore.
