Sorry, I should have split that into 2 paragraphs. A sample of a wobbly tonewheel would always wobble when played. I suppose a model of a wobbly tonewheel might do the same but I don't know. It might depend on how accurately the wobble is modeled. (Didn't Diversi offer to "clone" anyone's own organ for the organ they sell - it uses an older version of the Numa's software).
Regarding the Numa, if the issue isn't a wobbly pitch bend pot, the next link in the chain may be whether or not the processor or DSP is able to do all the math fast enough and maybe if it gets a little behind the frequency wobbles while it tries to catch up.
