Hi Simon,

I checked the 60's E.Piano 1 tone (tone 006 in the EPiano group) Each group now
has its own button and being able to call up each the group directly is a bonus
when moving between tones in other groups at short notice (the trade off is
there is no numeric pad to key in the tone number - assuming you can remember it
in the heat of the moment!!).

The default settings are: Attack- 00; release- 00; cutoff- 00; Vib type- Sine;
Vib depth- 00; Vib rate- 00; Viv. delay- 00; Octave shift- 0: Volume- 127;
Touchsense +63; Revsend- 16; Cho.send- 00; ModSetting- vib [other option is
DSP]; Mod depth- 064; DSP- off [can be turned on and tremolo selected].

This setting has the sharp attack when keys are hit hard - sounds to me a little
like the intro to dreamer by Supertramp. Otherwise a more muted tone similar but
not identical to Late O'clock news.

Generally the 7500 sounds 'brighter' than the WK3500 across all tones, For
example I have set up some basic user drawbar tones and 1 octave or more above
middle C sounds 'brighter' ( and more like a Hammond I suspect which are louder
in the higher octaves). The key click when selected sounds good (like that on
the intro to DP's Child in time).

The closest standard tone to a rhodes is Vintage EP, but have to get used to
hitting the keyboard hard to get the real "metallic' bite. E above middle C
sounds very convincing, other keys in the octave less so, but that may be my
uneven touch.

Thanks! The Wurlitzer sound on the WK-3000 is called something like "60sEP" or
"60sEPiano"; I've modified it by making the attack and release times as short as
possible and increasing the resonance to 40 (I believe that the 7500 no longer
has a resonance parameter). I also replaced the auto-pan effect with tremolo (as
befits a Wurly), off by default and activated by turning on the DSP. I haven't
used a Rhodes sound for so long that I can't even remember the preset name, but
it was also pretty good after a few tweaks.

blues project from a few years ago. All keyboards are WK-3000 with no external
processing. I use the Wurly sound on "Late O'Clock Blues" and "Watermelon Man",
acoustic piano on "For Prof and Doc", "Guitar Not Included" and "Amazing Grace",
plus organ on the last two. All other instruments (acoustic and electric
guitars, bass guitar, chromatic harmonica and electric violin) are real and
played by myself, apart from drums and percussion which are WK-3000 in some
cases and programmed loops in others. "WOW!" was arranged and produced by CA$MIR
using piano, bass and organ samples played by myself.
