Subject:Re: Mixer EQ when using 2 keyboards live

Another vote for Mackie. What I really like about it is that not only can you mix your keyboards and send them to FOH, but by exploiting the "alt 3/4" and "control room source" features, you can use it as the basis for a nice in-ear monitoring system for yourself. Those features let you route some signals to FOH and some only to your own monitors or headphones. So, you can route your keyboards to FOH, then feed a monitor mix from the FOH mixer (with, say, vocals and other instruments) back into your Mackie and route that signal only to your headphones/monitors. Now you can have your own monitor mix with control over how loud you are relative to the other instruments in the mix. Since most keyboard players are fairly stationary you can use a regular set of in-ear headphones for monitoring. Works great.
