Subject:Re: NUMA organ

It will be interesting to see which US distributors will even pick up on
the Numa. It doesn't carry the Hammond nametag (or even Nord) but if it is
good I am sure that there will be at least some limited distribution, similar
perhaps to the Ventilator. It would be interesting to see how the
distributorships will be set up too.

We did see the difficulties that Ventura ( and Diversi... remember them ?)
had, but this may turn out to be a different animal than the Ventura at
least . One of the reasons is that there are so many Youtube videos of Joey D.
playing these. The Ventura had some rock oriented videos, but then got
slammed on the Keyboard Magazine clonewheel shootout . I won't repeat Ton
Coster's comments here, but it couldn't have helped Ventura's cause.

So .... no tweakability whatsoever. Hmmm. I recently picked up a Roland
RD300GX ( mostly for piano sounds) but it has a " percussion organ" setting
that might get by in a pinch. Of course, the percussion is loud. I guess that
is what most people want. What are you going to do if it is not right? (
i.e. too loud) . Set the EQ I suppose....

It's also curious to me that there is a Key B single manual out there (
somewhere, according to the Key B site) and now the NUMA. And Joey D endorses
both.

NAMM is a month away, and is there any guarantee that the NUMA will even be
there?
