Just posted on this elsewhere. The E3 is worlds better than the E2. The organ is much
meatier, with improved Leslie effect, improved percussion, the "vintage"
modeling, etc. It has a whole series of sampled sounds (and you can download
more, or add your own), so you can get strings, brass, mellotrons, etc. You don't care about the pianos, but big improvements there too.

The only downsides: Some people have commented on liking the clavinet better on
the E2, and it had a better method of recalling presets. If the latter bugs you,
you can get around it with an add-on device for patch selection.
