+1 on all accounts.

I used to do a lot of synth brass and sampled brass, but most of the
parts sound a little sterile and lifeless. OTOH, Hammond 'horn' parts
are pretty cool, especially if the player doesn't try to make the organ
sound as brass-like as possible -- which never really worked, Hammond's
drawbar guide notwithstanding -- and just pick a nice sound like 85 8838
228 that has its own vibe.
