very deftly addressed the technical issues surrounding cables - use the
best quality that you can justify for the application, but don't go
crazy in pursuit of nonexistent, magical qualities.

my problem comes from Monster Cable themselves - I've disliked their
tactics for many years, and when the lawsuits began I encouraged active
boycott. this guy sums up my feelings better than I can:

(though i may disagree with the good products part)

I was a Blue Jeans Cable customer for a long time before their lawsuit,
which I watched unfold with glee - though I know deep down it'll do no
good.
