Subject:ventilator blowout
As someone else mentioned... put a volt meter across the PSU plug and
check the voltage (the correct voltage and polarity will be displayed on
the PSU). If you have to try another PSU; make sure it is of the
correct voltage (a regulated PSU is desirable), it must also have
adequate current (more is ok, but not less) and of course the correct
polarity and type of concentric plug.
If you think you may have to send it back... email Guido first and
explain the problem. I can assure you Guido's service back up is second
to non (not that he gets to do much because these Vents rarely give
trouble). I had a minor problem with my Vent when I first had it and
Guido talked me through what to do and the problem was resolved. Also,
if you are in USA or Canada... I beleive he has importer/service
support... but I am sure Guido will advise you on what to do.
All the best and hope you get your Vent working correctly soon... we
don't want you to start twitching with with-drawal symptons! \O/
