Absolutely!!!

Its the same with Leslies... No two sound alike. I have a 122, a 145,
several 45's, two 21H's, and a 47. They all sound radically different.
Plus add to that different belt tensions, whether its an older 147 vs
a newer one with particle board, the acoustics of the room, how far
away the leslie is from the wall, etc...

What the Vent and most leslie sims try to recreate is the sound of a
decent miked Leslie with a decent amount of tube overdrive. The Vent
comes VERY close to this sound. The Speakeasy AMA and a Leslie 2101
comes close... Even the XK3c with vintage tubes and tweaked sim
settings comes close.

But as you said, it is all in the ears of the beholder...
