Subject:Re: module recommendations? VK8m ( again)
You can change the internal Leslie sim speed on the VK8M using the Slow/Fast button and the Brake button or you can use the D-Beam to change speeds or brake just by passing your hand over the beam. The speed switch can be hacked so you can use a foot switch or real leslie speed switch but I haven't tried it. There isn't any jack on the back for a speed switch pedal but if your handy with soldering it can be hacked in. There is a jack for an expression pedal that you can use for a normal volume pedal or you can bring in another keyboard into the mix with the pedal like when you want some sort of piano or synth sound along with the organ. Eliminates having to use a mixer. The D-Beam can also be used to make all kinds of crazy effects that real Hammond never had like a crescendo or a ring modulator or it can simulate a spring reverb shock crash like you would get if you picked up the organ and dropped it. The spinet Hammonds with spring reverb were easy to lift or tip and crash the reverb.
