That's cool. Pretty much the way I'd guess it would work.

Just goes to show, if you have an idea and wait long enough, someone else will actually make it happen. Did I mention my idea of the digital piano in 1974 or 75? Ray was probably already thinking about it too but I was just taking a class in digital logic when it dawned on me that it would be done someday when I drew up a 10 bit A to D converter using 7400 IC's (never built it). At the time the fastest practical clock speed was 1MHz. Too slow I think for any quality yet.
