It's close enough for
those that don't want to bother with or have a real leslie but from
what I've heard from the clip, on chorale, it sounded to me like the
person playing the piece had to wait for the rotors to rotate in order
to mesh his chords within the rotation, if you follow what I'm saying.
Sort of like he was pacing his playing to jump on board the rotation as
a hobo would jump on a moving train.? Maybe it was the settings of the
chorale speed but something tells me that since this is digital, it's
not as dimensional as an analog real leslie in this specific regard,
with an incremental analog characteristic as opposed to a flat 1's and
0's, either- or. Unlike analog you can guess or coax how it will
respond if you switch the rotors at this speed or that, how the rotors
will ramp down or rotate, with digital it does one or two parameters
the exact same way. Perhaps it's a ways off in the software
sophistication to account for the analog feel of motor driven physical
objects being sped up and slowed down by centrifugal force, moving
through air. Having said that, there is a more realistic sense of a Leslie from this new sim but not quite there yet for my tastes.
