There isn't a great deal to tweak on the Ventilator, just mic. distance, balance, drive etc., and as the unit is small, shown on the web-site to be resting on the XK organ top panel with remote ( foot or half-moon switch) pedal, it can be near to hand for instant adjustment.

Just so long as it nails the sound, it'll do for me.

Agreed 100%. I have come across so many keyboards and effects that have been very "tweakable", but no matter how much one tweaks, the sound just doesn't happen. I am by no means a purist or minimalist, but I always prefer a convincing sound which is not tweakable to a sound that can be tweaked but is remains lame because the material is not there.
I remember a Fender Rhodes emulation where one could tweak the "bell" sound. In the mix that sound was so unmusical, that the best tweaking was to make it disappear. I guess some "tweakable parameters" on gear are just smokesceens (like the old early 1980s digital reverbs which sounded awful, but the argument always was: you can tweak it, or the first V-drums........but you can tweak 'em!). You can't tweak a Bosendorfer concert grand and yet people seem to be happy with it....
Tweaking makes all sense for virtual synths or remixers where anything goes.

Just my random philosophizing....
