I would absolutely recommend the Roland VK8m.

I have a 1962 B-3 and Leslie 122 in my living room . I know what a GREAT
B-3 sounds like.

I was recently in New York City and Sam Ash had a Hammond XK3 and XK1, a
Nord Electro 3 and Nord Stage, a Korg CX3 and a Roland VK8. So I got to hear
all the big name clones in one place side by side.

Of all of these, my number one choice is still the Roland. A big reason is
the chorus vibrato. And the I believe the Roland holds up well to all of
them in the tone department also.

The Roland has the best overdrive too and probably the best leslie sim of
all of them. I don't think the V5 has a leslie sim at all.

If you use a real leslie you are going to have to get the leslie sim bypass
however. Another list member programmed mine for the bypass. Once you get
it , you are going to hear some of the best chorus vibrato of any clone.
The VK8m is VERY tweakable also.

I got mine used for 500 dollars and it is not going anywhere. It does so
many things well. I use mine with a Roland A 33 controller .

The VK8m still gets my vote for best bang for the buck.
