Mike, the Ventilator has no competition.  It kills the Electro 2 and Electro 3 simulators (and the E3 is very very good); it wipes the floor with the Toneworks G4 (no longer made), chews and spits out the Hughest & Kettener Rotosphere, makes a mockery of the Roland VK8 and Vk7 simulators, destroys the Spin II (and buries the Spin I), and really outshines the Dynacord CL333, and does a better job than the B4 simulator.
 
Think of it as a Speakeasy RocBox in a 5lb package the size of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
