Subject:Ventilator up for competition?

Dave, in a room, nothing mic'd, and you don't have to move it ever, it's not going to surpass your leslie.  However, most of us don't exist in that vacuum anymore.

But, once instruments are mic'd up, or even bleeding through vocal mics, the Ventilator is a game changer, especially if things are mic'd up.

The one thing that has always bothered me regarding using my lslies is most sound guys (not engineers, mind you, but the typical bar sound guy who would know 1k from won-tons) have no idea what they're doing, and even if you place the mic where you want it, there's no guarantee that he's adjusted the eq for your leslie or even bothered to put it up in the mix.  Generally, when I hear these guys mixing other keyboardists, I dread the result I'm going to get.  The Ventilator guarantees what what you're hearing is what he's getting.
With microphones, you and I and everyone here knows that moving a mic just an inch can be a real game changer.

In a band mix, I've been very happy with the Electro 2 simluator, even happier with the Electro 3, and really really happy with B4's simulator.  This kills 'em all.
