If I ever move the organ back up the stairs (I told my wife we were never moving) I will just plan on bracing the stringers. That is an excellent point. We had about 925lbs of beef in addition to the organ, so we were probably pushing the limits. Hats off to the guy who built my staircase. Thanks for the concern and advice.
